News: Let the sun shine! stop! no more, please...

I'm not talking about this year's Street Parade motto but about the weather in Switzerland during the last few weeks. It has been a record summer, constant temperatures between 33 - 37C, some places even in the low 40s! Just crazy, especially without air conditioning. And then all the electronic problems... First my parents PC died, then the tuner of my old Grundig FineArts HiFi system (sniff...) and finally the electronics of my parents car went mad (digital displays only), result: standing on the highway in the middle of Bern... Thanks TCS! (Swiss version of AAA). Not telling what it was - too embarrassing...
BUT NOW: it finally started raining and temperatures came down to a comfortable 25C :)
Ok, time to go back to California...
Let's just hope there's gonna be a record winter for some serious snowboarding in Whistler, Lake Tahoe and maybe in the Swiss alps as well. I definitely need it after last years shortest snowboard season, ever :-(
Well, till then there's still plenty of time to enjoy mountain biking, like last weeks Niesen

For all MTBSH members and Bay Area bikers: imagine the Niesen as a more radical Demonstration Forest ride in regards to length and descent. The only thing that's missing are the logs and jumps. With that, it would definitely be the perfect trail...
